DJI Agriculture Mavic 3 Multispectral: Accelerating the Development of Precision Agriculture on a Global Scale
In November 2022, a new member was added to the DJI Mavic drone family: the Mavic 3 Multispectral, a version of the Mavic 3 equipped with a multispectral imaging system. Also known as Mavic 3M, this solution is designed for companies operating in precision agriculture to acquire the most detailed information possible about their crops.
The multispectral imaging system of the Mavic 3M can acquire data on crop growth with extreme speed and precision, resulting in an increase in agricultural productivity and at the same time a reduction in costs thanks to the detection efficiency up to 2km squared per flight.
The Mavic 3 Multispectral weighs just 951 grams and is easily folded and fits into any bag, allowing you to use it anytime, anywhere.
Highly integrated RGB and multispectral imaging system
Mavic 3 Multispectral combines an RGB and a multispectral camera to collect a wide variety of information, which users can easily transform into results in the field. The imaging system has been updated with a 20MP RGB camera and four 5MP multispectral cameras:
• Green (G): 560 nm ± 16 nm
• Red (R): 650 nm ± 20 nm
• Red edge (RE): 730 nm ± 20 nm
• Near infrared region (NIR) 860 nm ± 26 nm
Allowing for applications such as high precision aerial surveying, crop growth monitoring and natural resource surveys.
Precise Positioning
The RTK module implemented on the Mavic 3M allows millimeter positioning and microsecond time synchronization, supporting transmission up to 15 kilometers with omnidirectional obstacle avoidance capability.
